A practical guide to backing up Mac and external drives

"Data doesn't really exist unless you have at least two copies of it." (Jack Schofield, 2008). For a Mac user, Time Machine is the easiest entry point to backups. It is free, unobtrusive, and requires minimum maintenance. However, things get complicated, especially if you want to back up external drives.
