I Wish to Write a Thing Because I can

I really don’t know what my deal is, honestly, I spent a lot of time getting sus.fr and oh.mg in to a position that I’m happy with and that is easy to manage.

I mean for the most part anyways, I’ve got this great idea to get OM.Gay’s regional servers to be independent, which would mean three servers pulling from a central point to grab their content on a regular schedule, and the two servers running gopher and gemini servers in the background. That’s not a today problem, maybe not even a this week problem.

I, of course, digress in this ramble.

Today I came across a cool little platform Montaigne which I joined and setup. Immediately I’m thinking of getting a domain, publishing there, doing my thing really, and dude calm down. I don’t have the money to be running an epic domain portfolio, which thankfully there are a load I’ve just let expire and whittling that down to a few I really like or have been using for years. Even the question of liquidity isn’t the only thing, I don’t even have the mental bandwidth to put myself towards yet another keenly created idea and left to digitally rot.

I mean, I’ve been wanting to update the BBS’s prelog screen since 2018 and I’ve still not done it. I’ve also got this current blogging setup with Plume that is really doing the job (well except for the occasional crash here and there) and the sus.fr website that is kind of half built. Not sure exactly why I’m like this but I have to be a bit more real with myself to put my foot down and be like, no sir, go play with the toys you already have.
