Being ‘always online’ means you are also susceptible to potential hackers and scammers. This is why most (if not all) online services highly suggest that we use 2-factor authentication (2FA) for our accounts.
With 2FA enabled, logging on the service adds another security step: to input the temporary 2FA token. That ever-changing token can only be viewed using your authenticator app, so unless the hacker is right beside you, only you will know it.
My favorite authenticator app is Twilio Authy. It is available for Android, iOS, Linux, macOS, and Windows. The app syncs across all your mobile and desktop devices.
